Empowering Youth for Urban Regeneration

EYURproject is an initiative that aims to foster an inclusive collaboration among organizations to train and empower youth workers and young people in urban regeneration. This project will engage participants in understanding urban transformation processes within different European contexts in deprived areas and equip them with the necessary skills to design and implement effective urban regeneration practices among the youth, fostering active citizenship in this demographic group.

The objectives of the project are:
-Using urban regeneration and outdoor education for social inclusion of young people and promotion of civic education
-Increase the capacity of partner institutions and youth workers to implement social revitalization projects in practice
-Promotion of social urban regeneration projects among young people as a form of learning through involvement and experience
-Increase the initiative, creativity and civic attitudes of young people through the implementation of social urban regeneration projects
-Increase the knowledge and skills of youth workers in the area of urban regeneration as a tool for non-formal education of young people.

Our project is addressed to:
- Young people aged 18-30
People from rural areas or disadvanteged regions, this group is the final beneficiary of the project. The partners would like to reach young people who are looking for solutions and innovative initiatives to promote their territories while increasing their social and civic engagement.The target group will include those who are currently studying, unemployed or NEETs.
- Youth workers and youth educators
The other main target group, taking part in the activities will be employed or volunteering at partner organizations. They need to be interested in enhancing their skills and knowledge about urban regeneration, walkscaping, and implementation of social project.

-Organizations and experts involved in urban planning and regeneration. Organisation and experts involved in urban planning, regeneration, creating and contributing to the design and making of the activities for the youth. They will be involved in the information preparation and will
be responsible for development of the content of new training modules and tools.
- Local authorities and communities
Local authorities, municipalities and local communities will be the indirect target group, benefiting from the outcomes developed during the project framework.

​RESULTS:
- the Handbook and recommendations entailing initiatives and guidelines for youth in urban regeneration-training of 12 employees of partner institutions in social urban regeneration with youth (international training)
- training of 21 employees of partner institutions (7 per partner) in social urban regeneration with youth in cascade national training
- 90 people will take part in dissemination events (1 event per country)
- at least 30 young people will implement social urban regeneration projects for local communities in their regions (min. 10 people per partner)
- at least 3 social urban regeneration projects implemented by young people for local communities
- a short documentary films of project local activities implemented in each country- website of the project and social media profiles.
